"This is Leslie Sack. Our website is lesliesack.com and the dance that we are doing is Mambo and I am going to teach you what we call a walk around turn. So both guys and girls do this turn. Usually the girls are turning more than the guys but everyone needs to know this. So the concept of walk around turn is if you step with your left foot, don't move your right foot. Now step on your right foot. Okay so if you are doing from a progressive basic to a half turn, 2, 3, 4, half turn 2, 3, 4 so as I am going forward you are going to turn 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. If we do it from the back in our last 5th position breaks, I am following 3, 4, 2, 3, 4,1, 2, 3, 4 and my partner is in front of me and his arm goes up, you turn 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 2, 3, 4, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2,3,4. The third one we can do is a cross over. We are going on like this, turn to the right 2, 3, 4, or we can turn left 2, 3, 4. If I turn left, I am going to step up and I am going to keep my left foot in place and then turn to the left and step on the left foot and turn onto my right foot. Those are walk around turns."
