"Hi! This is Leslie Sack. My website is lesliesack.com and the dance we are doing is Mambo. This is the progressive music that is going to give you forward and backward. So it is the same basic whether you're a guy or girl, just that girls goes backwards first and guys go forward on their left. So 2, 3, 4, hold 1, 2, 3, 4, hold 1. You notice my footsteps are all the same size 2, 3, 4 hold 1, so my feet are front to back; rock step back, rock back, step forward so 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. You can also count it quick slow, quick quick slow. Sometimes that 2 is hard to find in the music. Don't worry most people can't find it. So you won't be alone. This is the main difference between Salsa and Mambo. Mambo although is also like Salsa, we rock on the 2; called breaking on the 2 so mostly in Salsa you really rock on 1; this is on 2, 3, 4 so Salsa and Mambo are similar. The other thing is cha cha we rock on the 2, 3, cha cha 2, 3 cha cha cha."
