"Hi! This is Leslie Sack. My website is lesliesack.com and the dance we are doing is foxtrot, and this is the difference in the timing. What we have been doing so far is counting our foxtrot with a slow, slow, quick, quick. There is another way to count it, and that is in 4's which makes a little more sense with the music. Music is in 4/4 timing, meaning it just goes boom, tic, boom, tic and counts packages of 4. So when we are walking, I notice that all our patterns so far are 4 steps. So if I move here, I play the basic 1, 2, 3, 4 and this would be to music that would be super slowly. If it was super slow it would be slow, slow, quick, quick. You should just sit down, rather than dance like that. So since you are becoming superior dancers, you are going to just walk like every step and it will pep it up a lot, so it is just 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4."
