"Hi! This is Leslie Sack. My website is lesliesack.com. In the foxtrot, we are going to be doing the basic man's footwork for doing the forward and the backward basic. So when you are holding your arms, when you have your partner you are going to build your frame. You bring your arms up and down like you are in a gym, with your arms in front of you, and guide your right arm with your right hand going over her shoulder blade. This hand is decoration. Your right arm is really the leading arm. So here's the guys footwork. So guys go forward, forward, side together and then back back side together. Slow, slow quick quick slow slow quick quick, so you are just going to come straight at your partner and step in between her feet on the second step. Slow between your feet, side together and you are going to step between your feet because she is a little bit off to your right side. Slow, quick quick so you step here, feet right now, quick quick slow she steps between yours. So you can angle this and then turn it a little bit left when you pull it back. Go straight forward quick, quick and turn a little bit left as you go back."
