"Hi, this is Leslie Sack with expertvillage.com. My website is lesliesack.com and I’m teaching you Rumba. This particular pattern is called fifth position breaks, they’re also called back rock steps and this is the men’s part alright. So we’re the leaders, it’s going to start with the box step, slow quick-quick slow, quick-quick slow, quick-quick extra side step to get out of the box and we’re going to do three runs back, quick-quick slow, quick-quick slow, quick-quick and I’m going to straighten my partner in front of me, that’s a little bit of a lean, put your arms back in front of you and now this is usually front, forward, side together so that’s the hardest part is on the end. Alright let’s do the whole thing again. So you got slow quick-quick slow, quick-quick here we go, slow quick-quick slow, quick-quick slow, quick you’re opening up away from your partner, grab her on the back to get in gently, put her in front of you slow, quick-quick slow. So this is your fifth position breaks, we’re just rocking back and make sure your rocks back are nice and small so you feel your foot right underneath your body, this is a really important step to know so you can get in and out of these patterns from the box.
