Video Transcript

" Hi! I am Kerri Hernandez and I am here today on Expert Village to talk to you about belly dancing. This is a hip up in belly dance, stand facing forward, bend your knees slightly, tuck your tail bone under, hold your midsection in and your hands can be like this or like this. You will put the ball of your foot forward and you will bring your hip up. The accent is on the up, it is up two, three, four. So what it is is you take it up fast, slowly lower, fast, slowly lower, it is almost like you are beating a drum up here, okay and try the other side up, two, up four and then down, hip down is the opposite, you slowly raise your hip up and down, up down, up down, up down, up down, same thing on the other side, raise it up, down. You should feel like you are beating a drum. Down, down and that is hip up and hip down."
