"Hey there my name is Bill Cotterell on behalf of Expert Village, I like to show you the fundamentals of charcoal drawing. I'm going to show you the difference between a quick sketch briefly and a more complex more intricate drawing. What I've done here is start to add in or fill in some of the mast, the rigging and the part end of the sail. You can see how easy this is to form a couple of lines and once I got those in I can start shading really easily and adding in my drawing in my texture. I always do a blend and you can see how easy that blends in there together and puts really nice tones once you're done. A more complex drawing I'm actually going to fill in more detail and you'll see how that comes along as we get further."
