Hello I am Stevie Moore and welcome to my studio here at The Artist's Attic here in Lexington, Kentucky. Alright I am going to do some mid-ground work and develop the mid-ground a little bit. I am going to do this one using my round brushes but I am going to use two of them. I am using my light and my dark. I like to use brushes and tan them like that it definitely speeds things up. I am going to start with white and mix it with some burnt sienna, a nice brown tone. I am just going to go in here and add some brown, some shadows in here on the trees and play with it. These are some warmer areas of shadow, warm shadows and dark shadows. I am going to put them all over the hills. This just adds an interesting end. Feel free to add as much as you like. As we come over to the end we are going to add some more gray and speck up the areas. This purple we have I am going to work that in a little bit maybe some little rocks. We're not going to go down into our shaded area yet. I am going to go around with some white to add some highlights. I want to add some light green and yellow. Now we are going to blend this in in a second and this won't be too overwhelming too much longer. Alright now that you have some paint in there what I want you to do is take your dry brush and ever so gently just tease it. Have a towel near you and wipe off paint. You can go in any direction but horizontal would be the preferred. Horizontal would be best. You can just blend them together. Your sharp details are what you will want to do on your detail coat. This is just local color, local areas of color. See how much more interesting it was before with all the hints of color involved.
