And now I'm going to show you how to apply water with using your aquarelle pencils. The brushes I use of the same 3 brushes that I use when I do my watercolor painting, a number 30 brush, another 10 brush, and a number 1 brush for the detail. I use my number 30 brush for almost everything first thing I do is I dip it in the water and I put it on my sponge to blob it, I also keep handy Kleenex's with me and as I mentioned earlier we go horizontally with our brush across the paper. Going to use my fine edge on my paper here leaving the white for my sailboat, going to go then here to the line of the hill using my blue so continue going across with your blue and I'll do the other side of my sailboat here. One thing I like about using the Kleenex is you can always when the sky has streaks you go in and soften your sky if you would like. Doing this side now with my sailboat using horizontal strokes only, one thing that you can do with the aquarelle pencil that you don't want to do with watercolor is you kind of scrub it like this and it does get rid of your pencil marks. I'm going to scrub it a little here to get rid of these pencil marks by the sailboat, then I'm going to take my water just water and I'm going to go back up cause my sky is darker as it hits and you can see how I'm taking paint off here so that it becomes light, my sky becomes lighter as I go up okay, while that's drying I'm going to go on now with my blue and start on the water. My next segment will be doing the water.
