"Hi this is Sue Rose with Expert Village on using this aquarelle painting today we begin to put in our boat we done the sky, the background, and the water and now we're going to work on the boat. We're going to leave the sails white the white of the paper and go in and I'll work on our boat now, we're going to use the same blue that we used in the water and the sky on this boat but we're going to put a little more pressure on them to get more intensity of the boat. So I begin now using my darkest blue here for the boat and you can see it's in contrast here of the water, one of the rules that have using color and I haven't mentioned this earlier but I mentioned it now is you should have when your using primarily free colors and that's a good way to start it there's a 163010 ratio so I 60% of this painting is going to be the blue the sky and the water. The 30% is going to be the green of the back the hill and we're going to take a red just for a 10% to add some sparks to this paintings so I'm right up here at the top of this boat I'm going to put a little red line so the things are going to stand out and you know most sailboats have numbers, so I'm going to put up on this one this boat right here a number. And I'm going to put up here on this boat and they also have little strips on the boat so I'm going to add this to my sailboat here. Then I'm going to go over and take another of my lighter color blues and make this sailboat a little darker here using another different blue, but this more pressure on it you want one of the things you want to do is repetition. So I'm going to put another blue boat over here, stay tune for our next session and I'll show you how to begin applying to the water to your painting."
