"Hi, I'm Sue Rose with Expert Village and today we're talking about mixing complimentary colors. We are on our purple and yellows this time as we've done our other complimentary colors. So, I'm going to take a brush and dip it into my yellow here, put a little thing on my leftover pie plate, rinse my brush and I'm going to put just a little teeny dab of purple into that yellow and see what color I come up with. Very similar, but a little bit lighter than when I mixed the yellow into the purple. I'm going to add a little more yellow to that just to see what happens, OK, that's a little bit better. Then I'm going to rinse my brush again, go into my yellow, rinse my brush again, and add a little bit more purple this time. I'm coming up with a different color yellow, a warmer yellow. And, this time I'm going to mix half the purple and half the yellow and I come up with kind of a mud color again. These are the variations you get by one using three colors, you see you get 24 different colors by using just these six tubes of paint. So this is just mixing the complimentary colors and you get six colors. Be sure to watch our next segment on how to get 24 colors out of using these basic six primary and secondary colors."
