"From collecting the mulberry of china, I've found in my experience buying from a reputable dealer in your area and handling this type of Ironstone, seeing it, talking to a dealer and getting an understanding of what this is and what to look for and trying to figure out what pattern did you want and the condition and the difference in what you are going to pay for it. I would highly recommend that those would be the places you started to collect your mulberry. When you get a little more savvy as you go along and collect and you understand what you are looking for, then you could seek out other sources like E-Bay is a great example of collecting but you really need to know what you are looking for and to be able to distinguish what is a good piece. Being able to put your hands on it and holding it and talking to someone, is definitely a positive way to start when you are collecting. The resources out there; the Internet, the Web pages and collecting off of the Internet is a great resource but keep in mind that you are not going to be able to touch these things. You should really feel comfortable about what area you are collecting. One of the resources would be your antique dealers, your antique shows, your resources and just little tiny shops in your area. those are the places I would highly recommend starting and then branching out and going on to larger things like the Internet and E-Bay in particular."
