"When collecting mulberry and buying a piece to add to your collection, one of the things to consider is restoration. These pieces can be restored. It is a lot of times cost prohibitive so you really have to consider how much you are paying for the piece. An example would be a teapot in not so good condition that you think you might want to repair. If this is given to you or you pay a very little amount of money for it, you might want to consider restoration. A type of person that has this particular pattern and you want this teapot in your collection and you have a little chip on the spout, you might want to have this repaired. Cost can be very expensive to do any of these restorations. Another thing to consider too is that once you've restored a piece like this, you can't not use it. So if you buy a piece that you want to use and put hot tea in it, you have to realize it that once you restore this teapot you cannot use it for eating or cooking with. You don't want to put hot water back into this, so that is a consideration when you are buying a pot that is not perfect."
