"When collecting your mulberry china, what you want to consider is to try to buy the piece in the cleanest and best condition. That is the best way to buy your mulberry china. Whatever you can afford is where you are going to find yourself in your collecting but this is one of those pieces for its age in the best condition you are going to find or close to almost the best condition. There is a little discoloration on the bottom but it is very clear. There is no chips on the tip of the spout. The handle is in tact, the color is clear on the top of the cover and you might find a little bit of chipping on the inside but that is when you are collecting is minor. So this is one example of a pot that you can pay what would be considered top dollar for in your collection because it is very clean. I am going to show you another example; this sugar pot. This sugar pot is very clean. Both of the ears are still on the sugar pot. The cover is clean. One of the things that you need to look for is to make sure you have the right covers for these pots; especially the teapots, the sugars, sometimes get lost in the process and someone puts another one on. So that really makes a difference for as when you collect. You can see that the pattern is clear. There is not a lot of crazing. There is little dust, but not a lot of crazing. The bottom is very clear, almost white, the ironstone. This is really what you want to look for when you are collecting."
