These are simple collage projects that you can do with children emphasizing the two different color groups. This one of course is with the secondary, this is with the primary. The other thing that you can do with this, rather than just having it be random, is if you have the paper folded in half, we call this a symmetrical design and this helps kids a lot with pattern. So what I do on one side, I have to do on the other and this will make them have to make good matching, good skills that way. And as we keep working with this, they have to cut two of every thing, so we want everything to be just the same then I've got to have two. And I can build up my layers that way and have fun with it. Again, I've used a neutral color on the background so that the colors really pop. And have the kids practice using the different color groups, it will help reinforce it for them really clearly.
