Painting in Squares Color Wheel Project for Kids

Here's another project you can do based on primary colors that's really fun. I have a great big black crayon but any black crayon will go great, same idea, you're going to take the lines. Make straight lines, a few coming across, and then have the children paint the colors in between. And this is done with water colors so it's very thin. You can see the difference if we use the poster paint with that, I think I'll put a blue right here. They can have the colors, now as you see how poster paint is much thicker. Either look is fine, what ever you have around the house will work. You could even use crayons or pastels if you don't have your paint, but if you've got the paint let's have fun with it. I want another segment here. This makes it pretty fast and easy, now we can see, and you get a wonderful composition and you are emphasizing again the primary colors. You could do this and set up the primary's and say, OK, you can only use the secondary colors and have the kids mix them.
