"We are going to talk about adding more detail and texture to clothing now. Now we already did a man and we made his shirt basically like this and his hands and his pants and his shoes. But how can you add more detail and texture. Well we have talked about you put a little rectangle right there and you have a collar. Make it come down and you have a button down shirt. Add buttons. You could do the same with the ends of the sleeves and if you notice jeans and a lot of pants you can add a side seam there. You can add a belt. You can add little seams on the shirt. You can add little wrinkles here and there cause even people with perfectly ironed clothing their clothing moves. It's not completely flat. You can add a second shirt underneath their like that. Maybe it's very cold he has really layered up there. Three shirts. For the shoes you can add the basis of the sole of the shoe. We have talked about laces. That always helps. You can also if you look at your sneakers sometimes they come up like that. The sole will come up like that. Sometimes there is fancy little designs on certain sneakers. Again this is all stuff you learn by looking at life and not being afraid to make life come onto your paper a little bit imperfect, a little bit squiggly and neat and cool. And that shows that you are not a rigid person and you can transfer anything to the paper and make it look cool and that's basically all cartooning is."
