"How to draw a bird. Circle head. Triangle beak. Now if you want the mouth closed just put a line right there. If you want the mouth open do a second triangle to show the mouth is open. Circle for the eye making him look straight ahead. Now here is the part; start at the back of the head for the wing, kind of curve out like that and then get some curves there for the feathers. Right here is a bird in flight. Make the body and give the same thing for the tail. Just like that. Now for the legs birds have like kind of a thick area at the base of their legs like this and then I come out like that make a claw. It really doesn't have to look like anything special. And there you have a bird in flight. Make some lines to show it's moving. Motion lines. Give it a little nostril. You can also make a bird setting on a perch very similarly. This time give it two eyes if it’s looking if you see the front of the head. Two nostrils. When it’s setting the body kind of takes a curved position like this and the wings are more flat against the body. And you will have a crash course on how to draw a branch. Very very very easy. Leave yourself a little space on the branch because you want to put the legs in there. Have them come in. Have the claw around the branch. Then connect the rest of the branch. And there you have a bird setting."
