"Hi, I’m Melody on behalf of Expert Village. I’m going to show you a couple of tricks using some of these pastels and we’ll start with the block style pastel. And you’re just going to put a lot of color on there, just so you can see it. I’m not really trying to paint anything or draw anything with it, I just want you to see something pretty interesting, I’m going to show you the effect of water added to your pastel. I’m just going to try and run it through, now you see the way the orange went into the blue? That would be a great way to shade something or to tint the inside of a building, something you are painting or drawing with your pastels. And it also blends it. And now this brush is almost dry and what I’m doing is just kinda removing the top layer, the dust layer and its making little streaks in it, where it is still damp. And you can actually create almost a watercolor effect with this. Now check out our next segment and we’ll be doing another trick using something else."
