"We're going to talk about triple matting, triple matting is important to a picture. It gives it more dramatic look to your picture it gives it some more character. There are lots of ways of looking at triple matting. There is lots of combinations you can use. You can use most any color but you want to find something that fits within the roam of your picture. You can leave your steps as a quarter each, you can make the middle matte a little smaller and the bottom matte a little bit thicker which will give you a little bit more character. You can do most lots of different combinations. I chose the white in the middle just because it brought out some of the white pieces and I didn't want a lot of white so I thought the white was most important. I don't want a lot of white just because there is an awful lot of white already in the picture but I'm trying to pull out the white white pieces of the picture. The smaller lines are going to help do that."
