Our lesson is drawing; more specifically, automobiles. Now I've got a few things in order here to help us kind of cheat. You can always use a compass but they are kind of a hassle and you always kind of lose the lead from them. They are just a pain; spray can lead, much better. So really anything will do that is sort of circular shapes. So I am choosing a rather short wheel base here. I'm eying where these two circles go but never be afraid to grab a straight edge or just something that has a straight edge. In this case, I can grab a sketch book. I could use that to make sure that my wheels are the same ground. I said I eyed it and it looks like I eyed it pretty close, so I don't need that line. But if you needed that line go ahead and put that line in because that way you make sure your car is resting on the ground. So I've got my basic shape for the wheel. Why do I do that? Because that gives me a chance to determine the wheel base of the vehicle. What kind of vehicle is that going to be? Now I am going to start with the basic outline to get started. Considerations for things like bumpers. Come here, show a back window of sorts or actually back side glass. Maybe again a few little detail lines in it, here and there. We have a lot of work left with the wheels as you will see. Now we've cheated our first shape here with this to get our wheels; more finishing touches and that's how you draw the outline of an automobile.
