"Hi! I'm Pete Bellessis and I'm an art teacher. Today I represent expertvillage.com and our lesson is drawing. We need to talk about what supplies we are going to buy. First of all we probably need to get some pencils. Now number 2 will work, it will do a lot. So if you are tight budget, stick with your number 2's but make sure you have some good erasers because unless you are the perfect artist you will be doing some erasing. You will notice right next to me I have 2 different sketch pads here of two different paper qualities. The first one is a higher quality paper and therefore more expensive. This is stuff you can't necessarily buy outside an art store. Behind this what it is you are probably familiar with in grade school, your standard newsprint. Much cheaper, not so easy to work with when it comes to your erasing but cheap enough you can just hash out some quick sketch ideas and be done with it and not feel like you are going through expensive paper; definitely art store purchases. Masking tape is always good to have around. Tape up drawings either finished or work in progress. Some clips can do the same thing. Various pencils, smaller sketch books, more expensive, name brand art store, less expensive maybe CVS Drug Store, supermarket just as good. So that's it. Just some basic materials and we are ready to go; let's begin. "
