Today, we're going to talk about advanced encaustic painting. This is the way we started, as you remember, with the small A6 size card. What's nice about this is that it's the size of your iron so that when you're loading wax on the iron, you don't run out or you don't usually run out that fast when you're working on this small card. So, you learned how to do a sky and then put in the landscape and the foreground and then start doing detail with the stylus tool. Now, the same principles are going to hold true when you want to get larger. So, here's an example of a larger picture of the same kind of concept, a landscape picture. And this one was done on a certain kind of paper called, it's Chromalux but with a pearl finish on it. And because of that pearl finish, it really created quite a nice luster besides the wax luster that you see in this picture. Now, the same thing is how you're going to do this picture. You're going to start with the sky, work down to do the mountains, come down to do the meadow and the foreground and then the hills. And afterwards, put in details like your trees. Same sequence just in a larger size.
