"in this video clip we'll be attaching our hinge I purchased 2 of these 3 1/2 door hinges now these are just pretty standard door hinges I chose this color cause that's the color that I prefer. You can choose whatever color you want, I started off by flipping over my project and placing each side up against each other so the 2 tops meet. Now when setting up hinges you want your center line to be right in line with that pivot point, so we're going to make sure we center that on there, when we're placing our hinge. In addition what I'm going to be doing I'm going to put my center hole right on that line where our 2 boards meet and our outside holes will be going on the outside obviously. Now the reason why I'm doing it this way rather than putting my hinge to one side or the other is that there's nothing supporting these 2 boards together. Except for our front piece so they could easily bend out and adjust that way, by putting our hinge here where essentially putting a chunk of medal across those so they're not going to be able to pivot on each other. Once you get your hinge lined up you want to make sure and drill pivot holes before you put those screws in so that you don't split out the wood. Now I started out with only drilling 2 holes and I'm going ahead and put screws on those, now if everything is still lined up I can go ahead and drill my other holes and put screws in those also. Go ahead and continue that same process with the other hinge and you can go ahead and test it out but be careful that these 2 sides don't slide out."
