"in this video clip we'll be laying out the legs our legs are going to be 4" wide X 48" long, we're going to need 4 of those and it's going to come out of that oak board that we bought. Now before I go ahead and mark my board to 48" and cut it, I'm going to eliminate about the first 2" of material or so, just because a lot of times there can be small cracks that are formed in the wood. And overtime those cracks will grow so if I cut those cracks off then it's a little better once we get into the finishing phase, then once we start using it. Now since I am getting 2 legs out of each side of this board I take off my first 2" I come up here I mark my line at 4 feet and I come up even further and mark another line at 8 feet, this will give one, 2, 3, 4 of my legs."
