Now I'll show you how to cover a pen to match your book cover. Make sure you choose a ribbon that will fit around your pen. This will fit all the way around my pen nicely. Use a straight pen, it works best. Measure it a little bit bigger than your pen and cut. First, fold it in half with the right side on the inside. We're going to sew the bottom of that. Go back and forth a few times to make that strong. Trim it fairly close to the seam. Turn that like so. Your pen is going to fit in there. That's the bottom of your pen. Then for the top, we'll just trim it so that we have a 1/4 inch from here. Trim that top of the ribbon. We're going to fold down the ribbon like that so that it fits the pen like this.
