Now let's clip or corners and turn the book cover. You want to clip this excess material at an angle and clip it almost right next to where you sewed, the seam there. You don't want to cut too far because you'll end up with a little hole on your corner. You want to clip this so that you don't have a lot of bulk in your corner and you'll able to turn it. Do all 4 corners, but be very careful that you do not cut past your seam. Clip all 4 corners. Then you turn it. Just turn it right side out and put your fingers into the corners. Flip that out. Put your finger into the corner to pull the corner out all the way. You can also just kind of wiggle the seam there to get it nice and square. Your book cover is almost done. Next, we're going to add if you'd like to have a bookmark on your cover. Take a ribbon, something that coordinates with book cover. Just fold down one of the edges of the book cover and put the ribbon on the center of the ribbon like this. We'll sew that on. Put it on the machine. You could pin it in place if you want. You can just hold it. It's not so difficult to hold. And sew over that a few times, reverse, and back to hold it on there sturdy. Now, I'll show you how to put it on your book. Take your book. It may be a little bit tight, but you want it to be good and snug. You just put one flap on like that, and then turn the book around. You may have to bend the book backwards a little bit to get the other side on. You push it on like that. Any threads that are sticking out you can trim off. We have a very nice book cover. It's nice and firm on the book. It's not loose at all. You have your bookmark that you can hold your place.
