"Now, we're going to turn in our rough cut edges just about a 1/4 inch and press that in like so. And the other side. Just turn it in about a 1/4 inch and press that in. The measurements here are not so important because as you'll see, it'll be the flap over. It won't matter so much how big that is, but it should be more than 2 inches. Okay, now let's mark for our sewing. We want to put the cover back on the book like this. You can leave most of the pages down here. Fit it right up to the folded edge. I'll show you. Right up to the folded edge like that so that it's good and snug. Take a pencil or a marking pencil that will show up on your fabric, whatever fabric it is. Run the pencil along the edge of the book to draw a line from the folded edge to the edge here. Then just a little bit further so that you're writing on here as well as on the flap. Do that on the back end also. Then put the cover on the book. Make sure it's fitting well and move the book. Make sure that the cover's pushed right up to the edge there and repeat it on this side. You're rubbing your pencil right along the edge of the book and then over the edge of that flap so that you have a line. I'll show you what it looks like. So you have a line that is drawn here and then continues on the other side like that. Do that on all 4 corners."
