Hi I'm Marcia Matcham and I'm here speaking on behalf of Expert Village. A lot of time the size of the painting has to do with the size of the frame I want to use if I have a ready made frame and I like to use it then I have to make my subject matter fit my paper. If I wanted to do you know more then one pig for instance in that painting I would have to gone into a larger formate because I like to make things I want thing to, I don't any one to have to say let me think what do you think that is. You know or no one ever has to ask me what is that and my birds I like to have them all there colors, true to the real bird and I have tons of bird books and I tare out pictures in magazines, newspapers, wherever I can find in order to get lots of different views of a typical bird. So I can really see what all of his feathers the markings are and the colors, under his wings if he is going to have his wings up in the air I want to be able to paint the underside of those wings the correct color. So there is a lot of detail if you think about if you are going to paint real reality like I do you really want to research your subject matter real well.
