"Hello, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you easy ways to draw turkey cartoons for this holiday season. Next, we are going to add some very, very rich brown feathers on the inside here. And you notice, this is a lot more rich and this is going to be just outside of the triangle markes that we drew in here. And just at first, just get these shapes in here like so. We are going to go back over them and start making them a much nicer uniform color, again, making sure that we have those triangular shapes because that's going to be a really cool effect in a second. So you can do this all the way around here. And then after that, we are going to add some pretty, pretty (this is where the tan is going to come in and be very, very, very brilliant)...so be sure and do that. Then we are going to come back in with our darker brown and we are just going to finish doing the tail feathers like so. And I mean, definitely have kind of a forward and backwards effect to get the feather articulations. Now, the side wings are actually pretty easy. They are going to consist of a number of black stripes, if you will on the main wing. And then we are going to pair that up with this rich brown we've been using, again, all the way up the main wing. And then we finish up with the feet which are a nice tan color. After we've finished with our colored pencil part of the process, I like to go back through with some nice markers. I like to outline. This is like a nice way...this is a nice stronger effect. Stronger than you could ever get with colored pencils. Now, all that we have done today you can of course, also do with markers. I find doing the whole turkey in markers is too strong, but I definitely like to outline the turkey in that way. It just gives me another way to kind of heighten things a bit. You know, you can kind of watch the articulations of it, put in the tail feathers. See, I'm not even drawing in the whole shape. It's more like the tips. So it's not like you have to encase your turkey in pen. Don't go overboard with this. But I really like it just in terms of emphasizing certain lines and kind of bringing a little bit more to the shape than we maybe had before. I really like it for the legs because it will ground your turkey in space. For this outlining on a turkey, I recommend either a black, or more preferable, dark brown."
