Summary: Learn about how to draw a turkey head when you are drawing a turkey in this free video art lesson.
"Hello, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you easy ways to draw a turkey cartoons for this holiday season. Turkeys have very flat parts of their head. They don't have a big circular head like humans do, very very different. So we are going to make sure and emulate that here and what it is basically going to be is going backwards from about there and see a nice little bow to it. It is not a straight line. It is the difference between having a flat head and having a flat top. Anyway, what I usually like to do is put like a little bump right towards the back of the head because yeah turkey's heads are lumpy. There is some flesh hanging around it. It is a nice little simple articulation to get the point across. And then what we are going to have we are going to have the back of this head kind of jump back in. Jump back in because this is like the head doesn't bow out like this. This isn't a bullfrog this is a turkey. So bring the head in like so. And what the head line should come down to is if you were extending the beak basically then it would have a nice little curvature here. So you don't want these two things very far off. Think about you know how your jawbone meets the back of your head. Not like your jawbone is six inches beneath where the back of your head is. That would look very strange on a person and that would look strange on a turkey."
