"Hello I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you easy ways to draw a turkey cartoons for this holiday season. I like to start most of my cartoons by drawing in the eyes or at least the area around the eyes. This is a good way to start stretching your drawing muscles while also setting the pattern for the rest of the drawing by the basic expression the eyes are going to form. So let's get started on the eyes. There are all sorts of ways to draw our eyes on the paper. One of the ways I prefer is to take two circles and have them back up to each other. Notice how I do not fully close the circles, but you certainly can. Then we draw in our pupils in the eye area there. There you go. Now with a turkey the eyes are a little different. I mean turkeys have all that saggy flappy skin. So I usually like to have they eyes have a little more of a melted appearance like so. If you think about it, it almost looks like an upside-down apple if you have the stem down here. You have the upper part of the arches around and it bows inward then it comes back out again. And you do this on both sides to make your eyes. The point being is, this should not be happening on your main piece of white paper yet. You should have several pieces of paper and I really suggest at first exploring a bit with the eyes. Because they are all sorts of eyes that you can make and experiment with before you ever actually put anything down on your main page. So definitely work through this exercise before you hop onto your main page. The eyes are one of the more important parts of the drawing and yeah you definitely want to make sure you are getting this drawing off on the right foot."
