Summary: Learn how to draw a freehand cartoon Santa's beard in this free video art lesson.
"Hello, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm gonna show you today how to draw a Santa Clause cartoon. Now that we have the eyes and the nose, it's starting to take shape. You might think hey, we're just gonna go down and do the mouth. Not exactly Santa Clause's most pronounced feature on the rest of his face is it's beard, so lets draw that in first. Basically you're gonna have the beard kind of feathered out from the sides. It's not going to be a straight line. This isn't actually one of those fake store beards. And then we're gonna add some like kind of the puffiness flaking down the side. And you know it, do some bows to the beard, you know a little bit of zig zagging. I mean this isn't just like a static beard. This isn't just hanging off something. This is you know part of Santa's face. Only after you've finished having the beard shaped in, will you then actually go back and then draw in a nice little smile, because you know again like Santa is mirthful. Once you've finished with the beard you can kind of draw in the rest of the lines of the face. So get the cheeks in there. Again, these are really really full full cheeks you know, you know like sugar plums. And suddenly look, we have a Santa Clause face ready to go and we can move on to the next step. "
