"JOEL SIEGEL: All right. So, we're trying to put this beat together. And when we break it down and play it really slowly, we know we have the a-one-and-a on that first beat and then our second beat is two-e-a, okay? So, snare-kick-kick, all right? So, here's what happens when we put the whole beat together. This is--like I said, there's a lot of beef in this one but when you slow it down, it helps out a lot and you can see where the kick fits in between the high hat and all that good stuff, all right? So, here it is in slow. Two and three and four. All right? So, hopefully you can see what's going on with the kick. It's slow enough to where you can see where the individual notes are happening. And you take that back up to full speed--alright? And then, it totally rocks. So, work on it. It's not going to come immediately but just build and build and build up your tempo and you'll have a sweet beat."
