"JOEL SIEGEL: All right. So we're going to just go ahead and combine those two beats that we just did. We just did the upbeat of two first, and then we did the upbeat of four. So we're going to go ahead and combine those to do--we're going to end up doing quarter notes on one and three, and then we're going to do upbeats on two and four, okay? So this is what it's going to sound like. I'll leave out the hi-hat so you can hear how the kick plays off the snare, all right? Take a listen. All right? That's what it's going to sound like without the hi-hat. We'll go ahead and throw the hi-hat in there. This is what it sounds like. Again, take a listen, take a look at my feet. Here we go."
