"Hi, John Aguilar. Today we're going to do a six, nine scale in the key of C, six, nine scale. You want to know, "How is that a six, nine scale?" Well here's the C chord. If we count up one, two, three, four, five, six in the key of C, we add that note. That's a six chord. If we count up nine in the key of C, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and nine, we add that note too. That's a six, nine chord there. Let's take that nine there. That's a D and put it down here. And play all those notes together like that. There is a six nine chord there. Kind of scrunched together but that's a six, nine chord. So here's a six, nine scale. We'll do it down here. There it is. You get to use all your fingers. And the beautiful thing about this particular scale is in all keys you use the same fingering. Is that beautiful? Okay, let's apply it to something. Supposing one of your tunes ends something like this. You can add the six, nine, scale as a grand finale. Is that beautiful? Try it again. This is a little more advanced; one more time. Back down on our six, nine scale in the key of C. And that's a six, nine scale and it's the same fingering in all keys. Supposing we did it in the key of D, there it is. We get to use the same fingering. It doesn't mean they are all equally as difficult to play or as easy to play. Some, because you are using the same fingers that doesn't mean it is going to be easy. Some are still a little bit tricky. Even this is a little bit tricky. Just by the virtue of the fact that we have to play this black note right here. But there it is in the key of, the beautiful six, nine, scale."
