"I’m a professional guitar instructor and today we’ll be discussing advanced jazz guitar. Okay next let’s start working on a piece called very popular bosa nova style piece entitled “The Girl from Impanema” probably the most popular one of the if not the most popular bosa nova piece and you can see I’d made a lot of changes to this chart here trying to incorporate maybe a little bit more of on the things we’ve learned here, some major 9’s, some minor 9’s, dominate 9’s, altered 9 chords, just try to incorporate more of the things that we’ve just studied and I think that also by doing that it makes it sound more interesting, more intricate certainly and as a result I think a little more interesting. At first I’d like to discuss let’s just take it from the beginning through the first ending, okay so this is the first two lines of the piece, we’re going to start off with an F-major 9, I’ve changed that they have F-major 7 I put F-major 9 in there. A little Joe Bean style finger picking thing…move up to a G13 for the next 2 measures…G-minor 9…G-flat 9…F-major 9…back to the G-flat 9…again here it is the first ending…"
