"I’m a professional guitar instructor and today we’ll be discussing advanced jazz guitar. Okay the next two practice progressions I’d like to use to give you a little opportunity to practice that minor 9 chord. For the first progression we’re going to do is take 2 beats and do a D-minor 9 for 2 beats…to a G7 for 2 beats and a C-major 7 for 4 beats…kind of sounds like the welcome back cotter theme, so D-minor 9…G7 C-major 7…The next chord progression which also repeats in this nice practice with your minor 9 chord starts off we’re going to start off with 4 beats of D-minor 9…a measure in D-minor 9…we’re going to do D-flat 7 sharp 9 for 2 beats…followed up by 2 beats of a D-flat 7 flat 9…follow that up with 4 beats of the C 6/9 chords…so we corporate the 6/9 chord a little bit here… Again D-minor 9…D-flat 7 with a sharp 9th…followed up by D-flat 7 with a flatted 9th and then C 6/9…"
