"Hi my name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com and today we would be starting intermediate classical guitar. Next I will like to discuss the harmonic form of the minor scale. Once again I will be using A as my root note for this minor scale and the harmonic scale differs from the natural minor scale in that we raise or sharp the 7th note of the scale. So in this case the G note would now become a G sharp. In this 1st example here I have a open position A harmonic minor scale. One octave long. Once again alternating back and forth between I and M fingers using rest stroke. If you like to practice your vibrato technique on the fretted notes that would be a good idea. Here we go. One more time A,B,C,D,E,F,G sharp, A, G sharp, F,D,B,C,E, and A. "
