"Hi my name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com and today we would be starting intermediate classical guitar. Okay the next piece I like to discuss with you is called Waltz in G by Ferdinando Carvilii it is a really nice piece. It deals with a lot of different things that we have talked about. 2 note chord voicing, arpeggios, descending and ascending arpeggios, dotted 8th notes, dotted note rhythms all over the place on this one, repeating sections, the piece is in 3,8 times meaning that there is 3 beats in each measure and that the 8th note gets one beat. So for example that 1st measure is going to be like 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3, notice that is going to be repeating sections it is going to be played twice. You could see that it starts off at M,F mezzo forte moderately loud. A topic called dynamics and decrescendo you could see the two little lines coming to a point at the end. Pointing kind of to the G note there that means that the piece would come down in volume. We got a dotted 8th note that dotted 8th note since we are in 3,8 time that dotted 8 gets the whole three beats of the measure. You could here that base note under the other notes. "
