"JOE WILES: Hi. This is Joe Wiles with the Rock and Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're looking at number 77 which is "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters. To start off, it is in drop of D tuning so your low D string, or your low E string, rather, should match the pitch of your D string, just an octave lower, okay? The first chord, we're going to start on the 9th fret of the A string. And the 11th fret of the string here, we're going to go back and forth between the open drop D. We're going to use all down strums for this, okay? Okay? Now, we're going to use our index finger to come up and pad the 8th fret of that low drop D string. We're going to slide it down to the 5th and 7th fret, so it's 5, 5, 7. Right back up to where we just were, 8, 8 and 10. Okay? At a slow tempo, it sounds like this. Give that a workout. And in the next segment, we're going to look at number 76. I'll see you there."
