"JOE WILES: Hi. This is Joe Wiles with the Rock and Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. At number 79, we have "Never Too Late" by Three Days Grace. Let's take a look at the opening riff. First step, we gotta tune our low E string down to a D note. It's called drop D tuning. What we do is we hit the low E and the D string, and then we bring the pitch or the E string down to match. Listen. Okay? We're going to start on the 8th fret bar across the lowest three strings, the E, the A and the D. And then we use our ring finger on the 10th fret of the D string. Okay? It goes E, A, D, A on the string names. Then we're going to hit the open D now. Okay? Then the open higher D, 10, 8, 7 on the D string, then the 8th fret on the A string. Together, slowly, it sounds like this. Then we repeat. After three times, we're going to come down to the 7th fret borrowing the E string and the A string. Put our pinkie appear on the 10th fret of the D string. And then end off by borrowing the 10th fret of the E, A and D. Together, slowly, it sounds like this. In our next segment, I hope you'll join us. We're going to look at number 78 on the top 80 most downloaded guitar tabs on the Internet. I'll see you there."
