"JOE WILES: In number 52, we're going to take a look at "Voodoo Child" by Jimi Hendrix. And we're going to start on the G string, which is this one, 6th fret, and we're going to slide it up real quick to the 8th fret, just like that. In fact, let's use our ring finger of our left hand. We're going to release that to the 7th fret--excuse me, release that to the 6th fret. Bring your ring finger down to the 8th fret of the D string, back to this string right here, the 4--excuse me, the 6th fret of the G string. Those first four notes are...okay? Then we're going to come down with our index finger to the 4th fret of the D string, then slide it up real quickly to that 6. Okay? Then, slide on the G string, from to 6th to the 8th again, back down to the 6th, 8th on the D, then slide up real quick to the 8th fret of the G string. In context, slowly, that sounds like this. Okay? That riff to speed sounds like this. That's a really cool Jimi Hendrix signature riff, so I hope you learn it well. In the next video, we're going to take a look at number 51, which is the Offspring's "The Kids Aren't Alright." I'll join you there."
