"JOE WILES: Hey, this is Joe Wiles with the Rock & Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're going to talk about "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden. I'll see you at the guitar. What we're going to do here is a really common bending technique, in which you bend the B string up to meet the same note that you're fretting on the high E string. In this case, we're going to use our ring finger to bend the 15th fret of the B string, and bend it up to match the same note of the 12th fret on the high E string. Without it bending, it sounds like this. We want to be able to push this one up to match that note and in order to get the strength to do that, I use another finger behind it. It sounds like this, so they're the same note. This technique is a little tricky at first so, you know, do it a lot times, and get used to it because we're going to be doing that this whole riff. It sounds like this, okay? That's what I want you to be able to do. Now, we have to move this bending technique all around the highest areas of this guitar here. Now, to begin the riff, we're going to put our ring finger on the 15th fret and our index finger on the 12th fret of the high E string, it's right next to each other, use our middle finger to give our ring finger the strength to push it up. We're going to come down to the 13th fret and 10th fret, back to where we were, okay? We're going to split this segment up for time reasons. In our next segment, we're going to complete "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden. I'll see you there."
