"JOE WILES: Hey, this is Joe Wiles with the Rock & Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're going to talk about Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper." Here we go. To start off, we're only going to focus on the lowest four strings of the guitar here, the E string, A string, D string, and G string. The first chord bit starts with an open A string, second fret on the D string, second fret on the G string, followed by an open G string. That first riff sounds like this. You can actually use anyone of your fingers, okay. The next one is the low half of a G major chord, if you know what that is. On the low E string, you hit the third fret, on the A string, you hit the second fret, and then, you'll answer with an open D string, and open G string. On this part, we'll use the first fret of the low E string, the third fret of the A string, and then, an open D and open G, and then, go back to the chord we just came from, third fret of the low E string, second fret of the A string, open D, open G. Slowly, that sounds like this. The speed, that sounds like this. Practice that a few times and you, too, may be wearing gold plated diapers. In our next segment, we're going to talk about "Enter Sandman" by Metallica, I'll see you there."
