"JOEL SEIGEL: All right. So now we're going to take our rods. We've done our snare drum. We've down our hi-hat. Now, we're going to go to our cymbal. Again, this is the same kinda crash-ride auxiliary cymbal. So I want to show you what it sounds like when you're hitting in that sweet spot with the rod. Remember, this is the dowel--the group of dowels hitting so it's going to be a unique sound for that kind of mellow context. I'll do some down strokes for you too. A few up strokes."
