"Hi! My name is Jesus Cardoso, and I’m going to teach you a good way to get that great guitar tone that will ultimately make your solo stand. Basically, the technique is very simple. You need to get a great cabinet and start from there. If you want to record a guitar with a small cabinet, it will sound small. Always make sure that you have a good set of Marshall cabinets or something that will sound huge just by itself. Stand in front of it and make sure that it’s just the right tone that you need. It should be growly, it should be aggressive, and it should be just what you want in your performances when you go out live. If you actually achieve that, it’s just a matter of putting the right microphones in the right spot and the solo should be great. Many people struggle a little bit by trying to emulate those great amp cabinets by using alternate plug-ins or simulations, and it will never get to be the same. Whenever it’s possible to get that great and legendary guitar sound, try to get the real thing; a good guitar, a good set of distortion heads and finally, a good and big and loud cabinet. If you put all those elements together, you will probably get something that sounds pretty much like this. "
