"Hi! I’m Jesus Cardoso, and I’m going to explain to you what are the best things that you should do to prepare in order to have a good session. First, before your musicians or your singers get to the session, it’s always best to prepare all of your equipment. If you have microphones and you’re recording any acoustic instruments or voice, it’s always important to put them in place if you know the exact amount of microphones are going to be required. Especially if it’s a very large number of microphones, make sure that you have them all on before everyone gets into the studio. The studio can get to be a very stressful place for some people. Once a performer walks into the studio, they know that it’s the time to give their best, so you want to keep all the down time to the minimum. That’s why you need to prepare, as well, your session. Get your computer going. Get the program, open the song, and make sure that everything’s ready, because if you get into trouble of running into any technical difficulties, people are going to start getting a little nervous. It’s always best to keep everyone at ease and to keep everyone happy. "
