"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Jim Dufresne, I'm here to tell you about how to make a living playing music. Now classical guitar players there's a zillion of them and it's very hard to go get a career as a classical concert guitarist you had to be like that very very tough. But you can play guitar at a restaurant and do quiet well (playing guitar) you want to choose your répétiteur to reflect either your audience or what you want to project to your audience. Some people like to write a lot of songs and if your thing is to write music and then you have to represent yourself in a way that your audience is going to appreciate it. The restaurants is a good place to explore that now if you're playing at a Mexican restaurant you want to stay in a Latin kind of things as oppose to country things. And if you're going to cowboy steakhouse then you want to stay away from the rock in roll thing that you learned; I mean it's just common sense. But the world is completely wide open and I've done this many times myself I just got to a restaurant cold and took out my guitar and start talking to them, be polite and be clean and you have to be good."
