"Hi, this is Jim Goettler on behalf of Expert Village and this is a series of videos about producing a house concert. Provided you've found a really good house, and nice living room, and a good kitchen, and bathrooms nearby, preferably on the same floor. Then you need to think about where, in the living room, are you going to put a performer. Because performers are probably use to a stage and a house isn't going to have a stage, so your gonna have an area with a nice, a nice carpeting, someplace that will absorb the sound so it's not just flat walls. And, a place where people can gather around, big couches, big chairs, or even cushions on the floor. Give this some really serious thought because the thinking you put into it now is going to play out really well when your performer is using the home. The other thing to think about is where are you going to put the speakers, you know, sound enhancement. Generally, if you're only looking at twenty, twenty some people or something, for a concert you don't need sound enhancement. But people are use to hearing sound through speakers, it doesn't make any sense but people expect to hear sound, so think about where you want to put your speakers, where you want to put the performer, make a little stage area if you will. The next segment I'm going to touch on how to invite a performer, how you go about booking someone into playing a house concert. Thanks."
